This Western Electric 500 C/D model was manufactured in April of 1958 according to the stamp on the bottom. It is in excellent cosmetic condition, and has been cleaned, reconditioned, and fit with a modern modular line cord so it will work on any standard phone system.
Some things I love about this phone: The weight and durability. It's 56 years old, but it still works beautifully, and sounds better than any modern phone you are likely to come across. The brass bells make a beautiful ring that modern ringtones try to mimic. Lift the receiver and feel the reassuring heft, listen for the dial tone, and then spin the dial. If you grew up using these phones the sound and feel of the rotary will be immediately familiar.
