Dalton is one I have run into a few times, though not enough to have an opinion. Genuine Beaver could mean the hat has Beaver in it or that the hat is all beaver fur. Beaver fur is very useful when it comes to taking the elements, particularly rain. If you do a search on the lounge you should find alot of threads dealing with beaver and its properties.

Mr. H., the brim has a welt edge, turned under, then hand-stitched underneath, no stitching visible on top. I'm not sure if that's a Cavanaugh edge. Thanks.
