1950s Bow Tie Supposedly owned by Whitey Kaufman

Came across this looking for bow ties on eBay. I don't know who the fellow is but figured someone here would.

Vintage 1950s Mens Paisley Bow-tie owned by Big Band Leader

Not sure of the story but the seller seems to specialize in vintage clothing so they may have gotten it at an estate sale or something. I have no particular affinity for the tie, and would feel bad anyway buying it if it's legit and I took the chance away from someone who would actually treasure it.
