Yeah, an 11 inch drop* is pretty extreme. Standard suits sizing comes with a 7 inch drop. I used to have a 10 inch drop in my prime but these days it's gone down to 8. *difference in measurements between chest and waist
1) Look how badly the trousers have been taken in. Waistband is a mess. I suspect originally a 34-35 inch waist.
2) "Bold Look Era" Drape. The jacket is cut very big, esp in the chest and shoulders, though length was also exaggerated. It's probably meant to fit a chest smaller than 44. This below from a GGG clothes catalogue from 1947.
