1940s unlabeled Seattle Woolen straight zipped police jacket. Call it West Coast style, plain and simple or short and too the point. These jackets are the basis for the much admired Free Wheelers Mullholland. This style was used all along the West Coast from the 30s through the 60s.
I recently sold the labeled jacket in this album. I have it included for documentation. The unlabeled jacket is the one for sale as pictured above.
I have owned two others in larger sizes. These were some of the heaviest vintage jackets I have owned. One was labeled, one was not. Like this jacket they have an odd mix of zippers.
I estimate this jacket to be early 40s with a changed main zip. It is a bit heavier than the labeled Pony Hide, but much less the the larger jackets.
