Does it really cost $100 to ship a jacket from Germany to the US? That seems awful high, but I don't think I have ever done business with anyone there, so I don't know.

This jacket will be astonishingly heavy. The German heavy cowhide (I'm pretty sure this is probably made of the heavy "bull" hide, not horse as advertised) of the era is renowned for its heaviness.

Looks really nice, but the seller is somewhat optimistic with their suggested size. Going by those underarm measurements, it'll be a neat fit on a 40..... and will only fit a 42 who really doesn't like being able to move in their clothes.

Shame... a size bigger and I'd have considered bidding myself. Not a style I'd normally go for (I prefer a shorter jacket), but I do like the look of that one. Be interesting to see photos of it being worn if a Lounger wins it.
