1940s Admiral Byrd Pony Hide leather jacket-Size 40?

Very nice condition Admiral Byrd Pony Hide. Leather is strong through out. has finish wear, but no rot, no thinning, no cracking. None of the problems in the shoulders and upper arms. Just light finish wear.

The original zipper was replaced before I got it. They used too long a zipper and did not do the best job with stitch holes.

I'm wearing it in the pictures/video at 5'9" around 178. If you are in the 150-160 range it should be a fit. If the zipper were the correct length it would be less tight through the waist.

Terry, I just joined the forum. I’ve always collected leather jackets over the years since I was a teenager but coming across you on a YouTube video got me bit by the vintage bug and taking the hobby to a different level. Lol! I enjoy learning about your collection and the different brands that were made. Thanks! I noticed we are about the same height but I’m 220. I’m not fat but Dunlap Disease is starting to attacking me. Lol!! I’m a xl/xxl depending on the cut. I notice you favor a 44. I’ll keep an eye if you post anything larger than a 44. Take care and God bless.

Thank you for your comments. Keep an eye open, jackets are always moving. Maybe able to find something interesting to fit.
