Yes me too. Maybe a "walking out"/civvies jacket? The RAF did a very nice travelling suit in grey flannel, and I imagine most services and countries did similar.
I've never actually owned one as they tend to be for quite tall pilot types. I think the labels say "Suits, Civilian Travel, Fliers" and tend to be dated in the early 50s. I know where there is one for sale but she undoubtedly won't let me take pictures. This pic is from a movie, I think, but they pretty much look like this. Notch lapel, 3-button.
I would have thought that the jacket in the original post was a service jacket stripped of it's breast pockets and with exchanged buttons to "civilize" it.
