Pretty neat. I assume the Rens were somehow affiliated with the Renaissance Ballroom? The "Ren" is still standing. I know many people who spent many happy hours there. It was second only to the Savoy as an important Harlem ballroom. It sits empty today, awaiting its fate. The present owners want to basically destroy the building, leaving only its facade, in order to build luxury high rise apartments. Sigh. Twas ever thus.

The Savoy Big Five were the precursor team to the Harlem Globetrotters; interestingly, both teams hailed from Chicago.
