Too bad it lacks the trousers and waistcoat.

This is listed as German, however it has outward facing pleats on the trousers. I thought German pleats usually pointed inwards (in the English style). An unusual German suit? Or am I wrong in thinking German tailors used inward facing pleats?

German trousers mostly had "British" inward facing pleats. But there were exceptions... I have certainly seen some outward facing ones.
I agree with the seller that the suit is "German tailoring". The rimmed Buttons and trouser details certainly look that way.
