1930s eBay.fr jacket. Amazing lapels

Look at those lapels! Quite a small jacket. It may be German.

looks like yet another of the as yet unclassifiable 'European dinner-jacket type jacket but without grosgrain lapels and maybe a waiter's or band member's jacket'. catchy title non ?
how about a vintage Euro evening jacket.

On the 'Black Suits' thread (http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?35641-Black-Suit/page11), Flat Foot Floey has just posted an advert from 1931 for a 'Nachmittag und Abend' (Afternoon and Evening suit). Certainly a better description than 'European dinner-jacket type jacket but without grosgrain lapels and maybe a waiter's or band member's jacket'.

I think 'Nachmittag und Abend' has a nice ring to it. After all, the suits/jackets are often German, so maybe we owe it to the Germans to adopt their original phrase?

Any more suggestions?
