[Two Types]

Is it actually a women's jacket - or is it just buttoned up the wrong way? I've no idea whether they did make women's jackets in that style but, the reason i ask, is that in my experience double breasted jackets only have a single buttonhole on the inside allowing them to button across. This appears to have two.
i may just be showing my ignorance of these jackets, but i would be interested to know.

It's buttoned the wrong way. Vintage men's dbl breasted jackets had a vertical pair of buttonholes on each flap.

Palm Beach cloth is fabulous stuff. Anyone who can afford it, and get into it, and has anything like a remote chance of having an opportunity to wear it, I would recommend jumping on it.
