Next for sale from my "doesn't fit me" wardrobe is this wonderful Lambourne overcoat. It could be as early as the 1930s, but i suspect it's probably 1940s. The fabric is a brown/cream herringbone, and lined in the common rayon-ish twill weave fabric often found on British gear from this era. There are hip-level pockets for storing stuff, and one interior pocket. Lovely label. It's been packed away for a while, but i don't remember any damage, stains, smells, or anything else wrong with it. Really a wonderful and scarce overcoat.
I'm asking £50 for the jacket. I think that's a fair price for a Lambourne overcoat from this era. If it fits you, snap it up; i think it will fit a 42 or 44 inch chest well.
Measurements:
Chest: 23"
Arms: 25.5"
Shoulders: 18.5"
Back Length: 41"
Here are some pics, showing all the pertinent views.
There's a little label inside the interior pocket which has something unreadable written on it.
