1900s Wicks & Greenman upbrim fedora/lords hat

This hat is truly special. The black felt is crazy soft and screams quality.

The ribbon has the "frayed bow" which was common on hats of the era.

The sweatband is soft and pliable, but has popped stitches in two areas. The sweatband is still secure to the hat and can be worn.

The sweatband has a similar texture to the earlier Stetson "Fray" sweatbands, which seem to have a crazy amount of life to them.

Tagged as a 7 1/8, it fits me just a smidge snug, but I'm sure it can stretch out to it's true shape with no issue.

The brim has a "kettle curl" treatment to it.

A little info on W&G: "January, 1904, Wicks entered the retail clothing business. For this purpose he formed a partnership with George H. Greenman, of Johnstown, New York, and they continued successfully in that business for five years under the firm name of Wicks & Greenman, and at the end of that period sold out to The Talbot Company of Boston"

Open crown: 5 3/4"
Brim: 2 1/8"
