Nice ! I think the Banjo is for me. I'm blue collar eh, a tradesman, so the most I ever dress up in my lifestyle is casual or just a slight step above. Mostly i'm just in filthy work clothes(10horurs a day) Nothing formal is required usually and I feel a fedora would even maybe be a bit over...
Hahaha. That's very true. I know I'll eventually have many. Anyways I'm really considering the Banjo Patterson in Charcoal Grey as my nicer hat for family outings, church, weddings, dates, etc. Will probably order in the next few days.
Thank you for answering.
I'm also wondering what is best for a big head? I wear a size 60, and usually need to adjust the crown to fit my giant pointy melon.
I like the Banjo Patterson for the felt quality, but really like the Campdraft for its nice fedora brim
Love this thread.
My question:
I own 2 Akubra Cattleman, and my Cow boss but I'm having such a hard time deciding which hat I'd like as my dress hat.
Akubra Campdraft (with a cattleman crown bush)
Banjo Patterson
Or maybe even the Stylemaster
I have a big head, so I wonder what yall would...
Here is the insides.
It came with a floppy brim and a cattleman crease in the crown, I relocked it to a more Riverina blocking. I also stiffened it a lot, and gave it a deeper cleaning.
I love this hat now.
Thanks for your input
I am currently using it everyday and find it comfortable and breathable and high quality.
I'd say it's a bit cooler than my lined Stockman akubra hat but more overall it keeps me very comfortable most of the time. Currently -5 Celsius and still use it.
Hi.
I stupidly tried to clean a grease stain on my nearly brand new Akubra Cattleman in dark brown color by putting some baking soda on it and then brushing it off after 20 minute or so.
No harm done except one tiny spot of discoloration which I could of lived with.
My perfectionist tendency...
