Now, I'm not a guy who traditionally hates people, but... ;)
That, sir, is a steal. A genuinely gorgeous hat for less than I bought my first at! Well done! :eusa_clap
I want it :( anyone know a good place I can get one? I'm off to see Phantom of the Opera in may and this'd go just right with one of my suits...
Aside from that, it's gorgeous! Love the thick ribbon.
If you're in the UK Tesco recently did something remarkably similar to that in wool. I didn't quite get the cut until I saw that picture though - it's length is like a normal suit, sizes all matched me, but it had the look of the one on the right - very low buttons. Rather nice now I see where...
I should've expected as much from a Land Rover owner! I spit on your chunky tires!
My ickle Morris can still make 70!That makes it 55 minutes tops! And my coveralls are already in the boot
@HPG: I like to think we're a very comfortable country! I'm genuinely glad you enjoyed your stay here - as much as the posturing suggests otherwise, we genuinely love our pan-Atlantic cousins visiting! You appreciate our history far more than a majority of the natives!
Bearing in mind the...
@Tomasso: No idea. No labels inside or out, which leads me to deduce that it's most likely a cheap chinese imitation of a panama hat. Not bad for what it is though. I'll probably use it as a prop when I manage to buy a good quality one. You can likely see some glue behind the bow in one of the...
Well, that's fair enough. At any rate...
Apologies for the mess of a photo(s), it was taken at about 3am on a Sunday morning with a mobile phone rather than my camera (being borrowed, and what a bad time to do it!). I do a lot of amateur photography, so I'm normally so much better...
Another one in defence of the starter hat here - I've never been a confident person, but the simple act of buying one or two cheap hats has a) led me to want to buy more (johnnyphi, you are a GOD - when I get paid, so help me I'm buying my first expensive hat; if I had the money I'd buy the Adam...
So, my first post explained how I met a fantastic young lady earlier this week at the theatre whilst wearing one of my hats. Following that, we've arranged to meet for lunch next week.
Now, as next week in my area looks to have some decent weather arriving (apparently), I've decided a picnic...
There. That there is now my dressing influence. If I can look HALF as good as that man, I'll have accomplished much.
Awesome style, pose, the works. He looks damned fine.
Well, I do try and make an entrance! And I'm doing rather well with Amazon and eBay at the moment - fairly good deals to be found (a panama for £10/$15 inc. p+p - not the highest quality, but it'll do for work in the summer - things...don't tend to last particularly long around my place of...
As I currently own all of two hats, if I feel like wearing one, I tend to dress to it. So yes! That said, I am expected to dress well at work (I work in a school, so I have to "set an example", so my black trilby normally fits the bill.
First off: Hi! I'm glad to be here in possibly the most awesome forum ever!
Second: Woo! First post!
Now, I'm only recently into wearing hats (my first being a fairly standard black wool trilby now covered in dog hairs and in desperate need of a lint-roller before I go to work tomorrow...
