Hey, maybe a silly question but when perusing the internet I find Lofgren ”engineer boots” and ”wabash engineer boots” and what’s up with that?
Edit: what I meant to say, are these two kind of different boots, and if they are, what is the difference between the two?
Thanks for the nice words, etc. It is my impression of the jacket as well and will (especially considering what I gave for it) definitely keep it. If the length bothers me too much I might see where a pair of scissors, a needle, some thread and my own stupidity will lead me.
Got something new (to me) and quite sartorially daring in the mail today - a white Nudie jacket for approx. 12 euro. I had it in mind for a bit of a project, but it was smaller than anticipated so it won’t work out for that. Too small even, for those that care about being able to button their...
Denim demon day - a Lee Archives jacket, a repro of a jacket from 1946 or thereabouts (see, levi’s wasn’t first with this design).
A bit in matador territory, but my favourite jacket that I wear almost daily as soon as the weather allows.
Thanks! No, not a clue. The only tag in it just states that it’s made from leather (but not which kind), in Pakistan.
I don’t really pay that much attention to what others might think of the approriateness of my attire, but I am interested in that it looks good and that I understand why it...
The Possessed-logo is actually handpainted, so it’ll stay put. The pins on the Venom-pin I think is actually glued to the leather so its not going anywhere either.
Considering i’m a few kilos heavier now I kinda wonder how I looked in it as a teen…
Don’t really own anything that special jacket wise, and especially not leather jacket wise (haven’t really worn leather jackets for 10-15 years) but I recently rediscovered this old heavy metal jacket. I bought this about 25 years ago (and it wasnt new then) when I was 15-16 and wore it every...
I’d say that if you have worn the boots and used all kinds of conditioner and polish, cleaning process and the use of acetone or deglacer (a specialized product less rough on the leather) is more important. Mine where basically brand new out of the box, that’s one of the reasons I didn’t spend...
Those look amazing! I especially like the brass+black-combo.
Been thinking of doing the same thing to mine, especially the toe-thing. Just feels like an expensive operation ATM, but who knows. We’ll see come fall.
I washed them of good with leather soap. After that I should probably have rubbed them down with acetone but I skipped that step just because I didn’t want the dye to penetrate too deep (just because I also wanted the teacore effect). Might have been a mistake. Then I taped up the parts I didn’t...
A pair of Keystone engineer boots that I bought from @andyone (cheers, brother!). They where originally in a light natural leather tone that I fairly quickly realized wouldn’t work for me(plus, I always need a project), so I dyed them. Could have done worse, should have done better (the dye...
