    Hi Steve, I did some homework ... Correct me if I'm wrong please. So far I have following info about Joseph E Ward. I will post more detail photos later on. About the initials J.E.W. - only on the box. Joseph E. Ward took 2 patents for his logo on 1924. Not before. So maybe (the earlier ones)...
