Hi Steve, I already contact the Hat Museum in Stockport (via FB - messenger) and they reply it is a very nice and old top. They don't have the box, it must be rare. I find out (pro top hat websites) that NOT all the hats before 1900 have a name, under the logo, emblem or Garter. And nothing to... -

Hi Steve, I did some homework ... Correct me if I'm wrong please. So far I have following info about Joseph E Ward. I will post more detail photos later on. About the initials J.E.W. - only on the box. Joseph E. Ward took 2 patents for his logo on 1924. Not before. So maybe (the earlier ones)... -
