I believe you can get the MTC-127996 with either type of buttons. The 127995 is another good alternative that I believe defaults to snaps.
I was also able to pick out the hardware color (brass vs nickel) and the thread colors.
The main zip is left hand. I guess I would have preferred right...
My Thedi MTC-127996 Leather Jacket in Cognac Buffalo with a detachable mouton collar was just delivered (ordered November 2020). Matches my Pigeon Tree Tärnsjö belt almost perfectly. Olive cotton liner. I had Thedi add a second interior pocket. I also didn't want it to be too heavily washed...
Gorgeous jacket! Sounds like I shouldn't get too worried - I ordered a Thedi jacket back in November though Thurston and the delivery date seems to keep slipping.
And, I just noticed that I posted in the Classifieds, oops!
Seems like a pretty specific fit. 27" arms on a 42 will definitely not work for me.
Thank you for the album @tmitchell59 and thanks for the recommendation @Seank.
Curious, the shoulder measurements for Joe McCoy jackets seem incredibly narrow. I'm usually a 38 in jackets and I'm looking at a 42 in Real McCoy to compensate for my shoulders. Does that seem accurate? For reference, a medium in Thedi fits perfectly in the shoulders / body.
I took the plunge and signed up for a Thedi jacket through Thurston.
Does anyone have any experience with Thedi's horsehide versus their buffalo leather? I have never owned anything made of buffalo leather, so I'm a little hesitant. How does buffalo leather wear and how resistant is it to the...
Bit of a hail mary here, but if anyone has a cossack jacket that is a good fit for someone who is generally a 38, I'd be interested in chatting. Looking for something that is not a heavyweight jacket and preferably in horsehide.
Lot of passion on this thread! I appreciate the comments.
Truth be told, I don't have a way to view their jackets in person, so I am going off of Instagram and retailer photos and their marketing materials, all of which look great. So, first hand opinions of the brand and products is most...
Very nice - does it repel rain? Or stain? Fit is fantastic.
I can afford more, just a question of whether I want to, haha. I would imagine that horsehide will vary in how "hard" it is? I read CXL, for instance, is very thick and takes a long time to break in, but I would imagine that other...
Newbie here, so apologies for any dumb questions in advance! Does anyone have any experience with Y'2 Leathers? I'm looking for a light-to-midweight jacket, preferably in horsehide. They seem to specialize in that category and have some nice looking leathers / designs. They look like they've...
