Man, I love the sweatband in the JBS!
Looks great, Nate!!
Send your opp to the kitchen for some snacks and do a little switcheroo while they’re gone! ;-)
Nice one, but then, all of your hats are extremely nice!
I’m aware, and envious, that you possess a magic closet, where every time you walk in, a new charmed vintage hat appears on your head! :-)
Thanks, Nathen! And yes, it is! Between this one and especially Alan’s he posted recently, makes wish that Stetson could somehow bring back that much quality and appeal.
After a brisk sponging, brim flange and shaping Early 40s Vita-Felt western featuring the Borsalino style corrugated sweatband. I couldn’t be happier with the proportions and hat shape.
2 3/4” brim, 5 3/4” crown. I’ve only seen one other posted on here by @carouselvic, though I’d guess there...

I can send you the Elvis pick, if you like.
Guess I could start a, “Dr Hook” thread…
:-)
How dark shade of redneck must one be to wear this hat in public? Much redder than mine, I guarantee.
Don’t miss the giddar pick hangin in the back that’s stamped, “Elvis is King”.
This Peter Grimm came with an eBay lot.
I wanted 3 hats out of the 6, which didn’t include this one. :-)
Thanks for all your friendships, support, generosity and commentaries here on the Lounge and the recent kind remarks on my newest additions, guys!
Ya’ll are the best!
Got home from my ride and this was waiting for me. Long, long story about this eBay purchase, so I won’t tell it, but this hat has one crazy story concerning all the messaging back and forth over a long period. Just happy he finally made it to his new home.
Early 40s pre-Open Road just as it...
