Seasonal chores (generator maintenance, etc) call for my trusty beater. This Akubra Bushman has seen a lot of abuse over the years, and other than a stain or two and the ribbon tails removed, it does not look too shabby.
Hazy and 79F in the west foothills of the Cascade Range so this is a two-black-hat day. Started with the Hufvud Bogart 50x Beaver for morning errands and switched to the Campdraft for afternoon fun.
This black Hufvud Bogart makes life tough for my cheaper android phone camera. So here are a few different lightings to give you some idea what the hat looks like.

Thanks for the compliment on the black Bogart I obtained from Mikael! My gray 50x beaver Bogart allowed me to deepen the side dents without moisture, but my whiskey rabbit/hare Cagney required a light spritz of distilled water to do the same thing.
I actually got this Hufvud Cagney (whiskey, is the color) last December, but I never got around to posting it. And the hat still feels new to me, so here goes. I like the red brim-binding on this one, and the subtle extra flair it gives the hat.
