I see. My sleeves seem to crease even after only a single wearing so that’s why i was curious. Though my jackets tend to have quite slim sleeves which definitely facilitate creasing more readily.
Do you intentionally keep the sleeves of these jackets from creasing or are they just still relatively new and unworn? I’ve noticed that none of your jackets have even a hint of sleeve creases or even collar roll and all have that fresh out of the box look that I personally abhor on my own...
It’s weird because I don’t really know you but I often imagine you having like a family reunion of your bootlegger v2, the j106, your black cafe racer and the brown hb and just retiring entirely from the game in perpetuity with an a-team of jackets.
This is about as good a fit as you’ll get, I’d keep it where it is. If you start adding lengths and changing things you may find other factors are affected such as zipper location or how the jacket lays through the back due to extending onto your hips. In my opinion it’s best to just accept...
It’s not stupid at all, the price is a bit stupid considering you can justify get a used one on eBay considerably cheaper. But there’s nothing inherently wrong with stuff made to look cooler than it otherwise might through artificial means. Practically every woman on earth is a pro at this with...
Actually HD, fashionistas would never appreciate nor tolerate these marks or other “imperfections” for basically the same reasons that you’ve laid out. Fashionistas value the aesthetic appearance of the hide first and foremost and so they will almost always be composed of the most corrected and...
You’ve got a good eye for leather it would seem. To the uninitiated marks such as these are often misinterpreted as poor quality which is why most leather that is sold has been corrected, and indeed why the term for damaging the hide by removing the top part of the most integral fiber layer of...
They don’t trim off the leather parts containing stretch marks, they simply buff the top grain of the hide to create an artificially smooth finish. These are corrected grain leathers and are intrinsically inferior to full grain leathers since they are slightly weaker in tensile strength due to...
Definitely the Real Mccoys Buco JH-1. It’s crazy expensive but also crazy beautiful. French seams throughout, understated but still edgy as a cross zip should be in my opinion. My favorite aspects are the mismatched hardware, brass zips and chrome snaps and the buffalo plaid wool liner -...
Actually, a french seam is a stronger and more labor intensive method of construction than a top stitched seam. The French seam isn’t merely decorative, it’s also very robust.
Bowen I bought one and returned it. They really are NOS made in Spain bucos and I’d have probably kept mine if i didn’t already have a few other black cafe racers I liked more. Only real problem was that they’re made out of a fairly low grade hide and they’re extremely wrinkled from storage...
Yeah I got in on this, I practically begged them to make me a Sheene rather than a cafe racer but the original run from July was over and I by the time I saw about it I had missed out. The proprietor Adele was kind enough to scrounge up some more of this natural leather from comipel tannery to...
I have the vaj-3 city jacket in a medium, it’s slightly large on me so it fits about somewhere between a 40 and a 42. It fits me well through the chest, But it’s slightly large through the shoulders and the midsection is kinda massive. I have a 32” waist, a 39” chest and I usually take 18”...
