Found this article. Interesting. Mentions a Harness Horse hat. The Hambletonian hat i mentioned was by the Harness Horse Hat Co, Danbury, Conn.
That’s maybe the association to Hoyt Hat Co. idk

Hey Jim:
If you mean maybe MacLachlan made, i’ll have to do some looking.
I recall some discussion with a hat Max, @drmaxtejeda found, “the Hambletonian”, and an association?? with Hoyt hats.
I recall it had a MacLachlan label.
Hope he might be able to clarify.

Darn, two Demons in about a month here!
Demon was a good horse. Not too many horses had a hat made in their honor.
I don’t think Roy made one for Trigger.
But then not too many horses had an owner that owned a hat factory.
And not too many privateer owner’s piloted their own horse to win the...
True this.
I think they let you slide if it was a Bulldog or other USMC.
I recall an idiot that got a lizard on his forearm. They were not happy. They hated him anyway.
I quit drinking about 20 yrs ago. The one time i was happy i got shitfaced was when a bunch of us went for tattoos in San...
Tony, every time i see you post your return to Storm Riders i think of your generosity here at the lounge.
It reminds me of the Storm Rider you GAVE me when i bought the Aero aged steer CR. You prob don’t remember.
It’s like…you’re back with that old girlfriend that you shared with me.
Nobody...
Excellent Jared!!
One can not get a better summary of all things X with Stetson then this!
Excellent writeup!
Thank you for taking the time.
The Stetson X thing has been discussed and dissected with example hats, catalogue descriptions etc. over and over throughout the lounge threads by many...
Several dogs and big!
Hope you didn’t think i was serious about the stick.
You’re about as far from a stick camera guy as…. well, unless maybe it had a sword in it.
I was just pokin at you.
Salute

The Demon is a great hat and the story behind it is greater still. Definitely a rare hat and a jewell in any collection. Hoyt was a very interesting man, the hat, a treasure!
Happy to see another one here.

Op…nice theory but equating the “feel” of a 90’s 4X Stetson to be 40% beaver is beyond a stretch.
Feeling the X’s is about as subjective as has been presented here on the lounge for so many reasons.
Keep “feeling” and this you will see (or feel).
Not trying to be rude…just truthful.

Hell J…i think you need one of those phone stick things on your Harley for some “Jackets in the Wild” thread. If there was one?
Kinda like @Dav used to do climbing trees with a chainsaw action pics.
Miss that guy.
Salute
