No, I can only find the material of the lining. I was just a bit surprised by the original price of 650€ - okay, it was bought in Paris, but 650€ for a more or less „standard Borsalino“ seems to be a lot.
Thanks for the helpful replies! I really like the color of the hat. It‘s a very nice light blue - the pictures don‘t cover that exactly as it seems to be more grey as it is in reality. I‘ll add two more pictures from tue inside of the hat.
Hi,
I bought this hat for 120€. It’s not new, but has never been worn. I got a receipt that says it was 650€ new. I couldn’t find any infos regarding the felt or anything else. Does anybody know something about this Borsalino?
Hey guys. I'll ask my question in this old thread..
May I use hat stiffener on fur felt hats? This might be not the smartest question on earth but i don't wanna do something wrong. I have a nice fur felt hat that has no stiffness on some parts. I steamed it but it always loses it's shape after...
Thanks guys! Yeah, i won't wear that hat on rainy days. :) I heard that sunlight isn't that good either; but i can wear it without any problems on hot summer days, I guess? That's just an advice for the storage? How often should the hat be sprayed with some water?
Edit:
Cheers! I got a new Borsalino Panama hat (will post some pictures on the weekend). Since it's my first Panama, i wonder how i take care of this nice hat? What's best for Panama hats?
Okay, so it seems that I can leave the hat as it is. I read that somewhere, too - but the hats I have were very expensive so i just wanted to be sure before I have some trouble with them.
Maybe this seems to be a stupid question for some of you "old" hat folks, but after I bought my second Borsalino online and the website recommended some impregnation spray i was a bit confused. You don't have to impregnate a fur felt hat since it's naturally impregnated, or am I wrong?
