The jacket looks really good.
A few questions I have are:
1 - Does the jacket have any filler underneath the lining fabric?
2 - Are there any metal ventilation grommets underneath the armpit area?
3 - If not too much trouble, I would be interested in seeing a close-up...
8 under each arm.... that's quite a bit.
What about the vintage motorcycle jackets, like the Schott Perfecto, did they usually have ventilation grommets?
What was the typical width of the authentic A-2 epaulets? At shoulder and at the collar?
Were the 'longer' box X stitched epaulets typically the same width at shoulder and collar as the 'shorter' box X stitched epaulets?
Also, did a smaller jacket size, say a 38, have a smaller epaulet...

Ok, so the pockets are the authentic A-2 pockets, except for the side entry pockets.
I am really interested in learning about their mil spec A-2's, and also very interested in learning about their old 1950's civilian flight jackets.

Do most of the vintage leather flight jackets (civilian) and vintage leather motorcycle jackets have under-arm ventilation grommets? Or, do some have them and some do not?
Do these vents really make a difference anyway?
