Jacket has been neetsfoot oiled every couple of years. It is the standard Imperial "cowhide creak syndrome". It was a happy accident that worked for me.
1974 imperial. I tried this it seems to work. Dust the jacket everywhere including all crevices in the shoulder area. then wipe with dry towel. make sure to include under the collar! Let me know if it works for you
My opinion is that if the leather is damp when you wear it the jacket will mold itself to your body shape. However you should wear it until the jacket has dried out a bit.
I made this note on another thread. Try the chippewa 6" lug sole apache. About 180.00 bucks They fit good , look good and you can use them in the field. Every year they are snosealed and the water runs right off them. Even during hurricane sandy!
