I have been livin'/workin' 2 hrs by car from LEON which is famous as the "Leather City" in Mexico (and there is a German bakery as well) ... :)
"High Rise" depends on the cut of your pants? At least that is what i had in my mind ...
"Standard" rise - kind of ...
"high rise" - well that's a pretty extreme example maybe
inbetween ...
Other than the cut i wear all Jeans on the same "spot" sotosay - and even if i'd pull 'em higher...
M65 in small sizes are available for a steal on all auction or ordering platforms ...
BTW: there was a female version of the M43 field jacket which was issued by the end of the 2nd WW which was specially designed for the different shape of the female body - well the buttons where exposed other...
If you wanna get my "2 cents" i'm with the guys - the cut does simply not match your body - i'd try maybe a halfbelt or something or the highwayman????
G1 STAR size 48 in like new condition - actully too warm for today (weather forecast 32°C/90F) but was OK early in the morning

Even though the A2 deck jackets are not as fancy as the early N1 versions i still think they're part of the history and for me they have an "collectable" status.
The first A2 i got was a "sidebuy" and part of a lot of USN gear i won on EBAY. That was about 12 yrs ago ...

I second the statement of @thor - as per my understanding the times of AVIREX producing "reproductions" is long gone - they turned to produce "interpretations" of historic jackets with some absolutely NOT authentic features ...
there is a community of AVIREX collectors but not for purists
