If you were a Rat Pack memeber?
I know one distinction of Sinatra was that he wore hats with stingy brims, so probably no brims over 2". I think the stingiest he ever wore was 1 1/8" or 1 1/4", not sure. I do like the look of the hat :) I believe every hat has its purpose. A hat like the one I got I think would do well in a casual or dressy outfit. I like the look of the film noir 40s hats too, but I don't think I personally can pull it off unless I'm wearing a full-shouldered suit with a... -

Hmm, I don't really have the best "steaming capabiltiies here. At best, I have an electric kettle that doesn't produce much steam. But I guess I'll try to find a kitchen with a real stove around here and try to get some "real" steam and try to give it a pinch crown :0 I guess it wouldn't be... -

Yeah it looks like it came with only a center crease. I was wondering if I should get it reblocked with a "pinch crown" to get the front pinch. Don't think I want a teardrop/c-crown anymore, seems like those are reserved for big brim fedoras only! :) -

Hi all, My new hat won off eBay came today. It's a "Knox Custom" from Knox, with a "Custom edge" (from the sweatband). Has the initials "LEH" monogrammed into the sweatband. Is a model "K305" in "Ebony" from underneath the sweatband, I assume the 305 refers to the block type? Anyway, it... -

Rare and hard to find
I guess the simplest explanation would be that the hats of those styles were from an older time period and are not as well represented on eBay as the stingy brim hats of the 50s/60s. I myself am looking for any type of hat to fit that description...I did just win a Knox, but it appears to be... -

Taken the plunge
Just got the hat today. Very pleased. It's a little tight but I also haven't cut my hair in about three months. It also has a sort of weird smell, as if it's been in a smoker's house. I attacked it with some "Febreze" fabric refresher and it's doing a little better. Does anybody have any tips... -
