Who made that one? Looks like something RRL or one of the Japanese repro brands would do.

The Thread to Display Your 1940s Suits

Yes, the collar could stand to be raised a bit. The shoulders are just at the borderline of fitting/being too small, but I think it'll work once I have some alterations made.

The Thread to Display Your 1940s Suits

1945-dated suit made by a local tailor here in Louisville. Needs a couple tweaks and a couple holes repaired, but other than that it's just about spot on.

The Fedora Lounge Guide to Union Labels

Well, as with all union labels, it could very well have been a case of old labels laying around a tailor's shop and getting used past their end date.

The Fedora Lounge Guide to Union Labels

Thought this was pretty remarkable: a union label in the same garment as a label dated 1916, which both makes it unusually old and unusually exactly dated.

Interest Check: Late '40s/Early '50s Bold Look blue DB suit, size 44

A vintage store near me has this for sale. '49 union tag, Bold Look DB blue suit. I didn't get measurements, but the store has it tagged as a 44 with 36W pants, and that looked accurate to me. I saw one moth hole on the front of the jacket (pictured) and at least two on the pants. Willing to...

    1920s suits

Interesting how both Sisler and Cobb's jackets have dual breast pockets. And Walsh in a DB with notch lapel, proving they weren't invented in the '80s.
