    What Happened to Bad Wolf?

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I am really pleased with both my BW jackets and am contemplating an Irvin WW2 British flying jacket from Aviation Leather-craft now I am back living in the UK but I have also looked at the cheaper Wested Memphis Belle options. Suppose you get what you pay for!

    What Happened to Bad Wolf?

Hello I have been somewhat inactive on here for a while on account of moving country but does anyone know if The UK based Bad Wolf Dr Who leather jacket company has stopped trading? I ask because I can't find the website anymore and I am curious to know if my two BW jackets would have become...

    Akubra size question

I agree its looking good on you. Do you ever treat the sweatbands with a leather care product to prevent shrinkage? Here I am in my 57 Snowy. Apparently I am an exact 57 so this hat fits close but not uncomfortable.

    Akubra size question

Thanks Zombie and Phil for feedback, Phil, how long have you had your stylemasters and how often do you wear them?

    Akubra size question

Thanks Seb, I see your point that sizing will never be consistent. Akubra say always go for the larger size because of sweatband shrinkage, but when I was buying in both the case of the Snowy and the Cattleman the 58's was way too big even with some padding under the sweatband so I went for the...

    Akubra size question

Akubra Snowy River/Cattlman sizing Hello everyone, I have some questions regarding the sizing on Akubra Snowy River and Cattleman hats. I own one of each plus a Coober Pedy. What I would like to know is why is my Snowy River a slightly snugger fit than my Cattleman when they are bot size 57? I...

OOPS! I might have ruined new Bad Wolf Jacket!

Thanks for all this positive feedback guys, it has all helped give me some peace of mind that I haven't damaged my new jacket. From now on I think I will stop tampering with it and just wear it as intended. Jaffa

OOPS! I might have ruined new Bad Wolf Jacket!

Thanks Seb, it's not so noticeable in the pictures as it is to the naked eye but like I said no one seems to have noticed yet. I don't want to keep messing around with the lapel and am really not sure about ironing the other side either. Like you suggest I think I may just keep scrunching the...

OOPS! I might have ruined new Bad Wolf Jacket!

Ok sorry about the delay but here are the photos I promised: Hope you can see what I mean about the smoothness of the inner area of the right lapel (right as to the wearer that is) whereupon the left hand lapel still has the original wrinkled appearance. My fault I know from never having worked...

OOPS! I might have ruined new Bad Wolf Jacket!

Thanks Seb I have managed to get some wrinkle back in to the lapel so it looks a bit less smooth. I have worn the jacket out and about and no one seems to notice so I may just leave it be. I get your point about John Doyle but he is the guy behind Bad Wolf and the salesman so I do feel he...

OOPS! I might have ruined new Bad Wolf Jacket!

Thanks for all this feedback guys So HWT if done correctly may do the trick. Next question, how do I apply the hot water? Do I run the lapel under a hot tap or use a cloth soaked in hot water and how hot should the water be etc?

OOPS! I might have ruined new Bad Wolf Jacket!

Hi Sloan I have a camera phone that's out of the ark which I can't connect to a modern laptop but if I beg steal or borrow a more modern one I will try and get some pics on here in the next 24 hours. I always thought hot water would damage or stain the leather, have you tried hot water on a...

OOPS! I might have ruined new Bad Wolf Jacket!

Hello everyone Recently bought a new bad wolf/U-boat jacket and when I received it I noticed the right lapel had been pressed 3-4 inches lower than the right (not to mention a few loose threads) I tried to ignore this but every time I put the jacket on and looked in the mirror it bugged me. I...

Anyone heard of Elephant Leather Preserver?

Yep, I think I will go with the tailor's advice and just give my brown BW a careful wipe over.

Anyone heard of Elephant Leather Preserver?

HI, yes I posted pictures but they are not that good on account of me having no one around to take the pictures for me and not having a decent camera phone. They are on Outerwear under U-Boat choices by Ray R. Seb, seems you are right about leaving the leather undressed for 10 years as I have...

Anyone heard of Elephant Leather Preserver?

Thanks guys, it's seems like another good Kiwi make! I will be buying it for my brown Bad Wolf as I have never treated the leather on that and it's now four years old. Although as I have mentioned the leather seems fine I feel I'd better be safe than sorry. Does anyone know anything about the...

Anyone heard of Elephant Leather Preserver?

Hi I have recently bought a new Bad Wolf/U-boat black leather jacket which I am very pleased with. However I got caught in a light shower walking home the other night and although the jacket is absolutely fine it has got me thinking about buying something to treat the jacket with in order to...

    U-boat leather jacket options

Hi guys, here are some pics of my BW jacket as promised. Sorry they are not too great but best I can do for now.By the way that is not my bathroom I'm standing in there- it was taken at work!:DAs I have said I am very happy with the jacket-quality, fit etc and found John Doyle very pleasant to...

    U-boat leather jacket options

I agree, I have seen some in an army surplus store in Wellington and I wouldn't want one. Also the leather on those German jackets seems a bit stiffer.

    U-boat leather jacket options

By the way Ray did you find any loose threads? I found a couple but otherwise the jacket seems perfect. Jaffa
