Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

That one is a beauty. I hope it was someone here. I can think of a few likely candidates. I was in at $125.00 but the auction ended while I was away. Congratulations to the winner.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

As well you should be! Wil, you have found the right hat for you, IMHO. The crown height and brim width appear to be spot on. That was a good trade.

Hey! I have a Federation IV at last!

You do not need to trim the brim. I'd make the crown a tad higher at the front peak but that's your decision. Nice job and it fits you well.

The Brotherhood of the Thin Ribbon

Tom, I can identify with the What's-In-The-Boxes issue. I was looking through a bunch of boxes today and found a Champ Circle C Brand Western and a Dobbs West that I haven't thought about in over a year. Now I gotta wear 'em and take some pictures for IC before I shave the brush off.

    Magnoli - How About Socks?

Since you've already done some FL neckties, how about some FL OTC socks with a clock pattern? Something similar to the two on the left in the image below but longer: Actually, two clock patterns and one argyle would make a nice three-pack.

    Oscar fashion

They were the standout couple of the evening. I believe Brad Pitt was wearing an emerald ring as well. Far from being safe, I think the couples' choice of a classically elegant look in basic black paired with a few pieces of spectacular jewelry was inspired.

    Post New Hats Here!

Dear Mr. Scissorhands: AARGH! shakeshead [bad] UWSCowboy, You're not going to receive much acclamation for the cutdown of a classic Stetson Royal Deluxe St. Regis Homburg. Hopefully, the next time you'll elect to post the hat in the Classifieds for sale or trade. I'd gladly have...

Yee Haw Hat... Chinese for Resistol Saddler... okay, not really

Wil, Those last four pictures look very good. I agree with JT, have someone take pictures for you from a greater distance. The cellphone camera causes some distortion of the images up close. I agree that the wider brims and taller crowns look best on you.
