    I had one of these I bought it with a tear in the mouton. The mouton Had lost its strength and I had to remove it resulting in the jacket being too big for me. - once the mouton shows tears it’s likely to be in poor condition.

    The leather sprays you mention may be just alcohol and water as that’s an old cobblers trick for shoe stretching. I’ve used cheap tequila mixed with water to Stretch shoes wider. As mentioned elsewhere in this thread lining and stitching won’t stretch as much as leather so you risk breaking...

    A slipped tooth was my first thought too - perhaps as a consequence of not having fully engaged the male side of the zipper before pulling the slider up so needing extra force to open it. Hookless zippers look great and are fine when operated carefully but are susceptible to damage if not...

    Agreed the labels look as if they’ve been transplanted ie have been hand sewn in using a ‘back stitch’ either it’s here to test our gullibility or it’s someone’s idea of making lots of profit on a mall jacket.

    There’s an old saying “I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand”. Monitor - get out a cloth tape measure, and measure your chest and a few of your favourite fit jackets.
