A visit to Aero at just the right time!

Went up to Aero last week with the intention of ordering an A2 in goatskin. Was part ex-ing a couple of jackets , a Happy Days in battered horse hide and a Sheene in black badalassi so keep your eyes on their 'used' section! Walked into the showroom and spotted an A2 hanging by itself on one...

One for those with unfinished horsehide jackets,

Well on the way to pulling the trigger on an Aero unfinished horsehide jacket, just need to decide between a Sheene or an Aeromarine. However, whilst appreciating the leather will change colour naturally my concern is getting it to do so evenly e.g. if we go out in the sun we're not going to...

Well, it's been a long, long wait!

Around 6 or 7 months ago I saw that was, for me, the perfect pair of jeans on the RMC site. Being a very fussy old bloke when it comes to clothes they looked, and going by the description, absolutely perfect so having ummed and ahhhed at the price decided to buy them. Clicked my size only to...

    Aero Hudson size 44

Have only worn this twice and decided it isn't really me. Have mailed Aero to see if they want it to stock as a used jacket but they're closed until 5th Jan so thought it worth posting here. As title, it's an Aero Hudson in tumbled CXL Steerhide in Cordovan colour. P to P is 24" Shoulders are...

    Heavy Cordovan CXSH

Just a heads up should anyone be making their mind up as to whether or not buy a jacket in this stuff. Just ordered a jacket from Aero in this and have been told they have a batch in that's 'pretty thick'. Sounds perfect to me!

On my way down the slippery Aero slope!

Is there an end to this slope? Started at the top of the slope with the Sheene and the Windward, thought 2 jackets of different styles would be ideal......and then came the idea of a MC jacket so ended up with a mongrel of sorts, a J-106 front with a KOTR back. Ooops. So ended up with 2 in...

    Which Tanker jacket?

Bought myself an ATF Tanker jacket around 18 months ago, it's great for just knocking about, wearing to go to the shop or the gym etc but, with me being a picky old geezer, not up to scratch quality wise to wear when going out to town for example. So looking at maybe buying a higher end...

    The ‘Mongrel’ Aero.

Thought this warranted a thread of its own even though the pics are posted where I was asking advice re leather choice. Not an original idea I know but hey ho A J-106 with a KOTR back in black Badalassi. Couple of anomalies from the order, zips on back of sleeves as opposed to the top ( no...

    British Sheepskin Flying Jkt.

Bought a cross zip flying jacket from British Sheepskin about January time this year. Ordered a size 44 and when it came it was outstanding! Apart from the fact it would go around me twice  Spoke to Gary (the owner) and he said he'd be happy to alter it. What with one thing and...

    It's a time for thanks.

Not a long term member here but have found the place invaluable for finding out what I wanted to know ref leather jackets and types of leather. Started with a Schott A2 that I thought was the nuts, dipped my toe in the water with Wested which I thought was fine.....then found this place! I'd...

Advice on leather choice for a MC jacket please.

Within the next week or so I'll be ordering a MC jacket from Aero and was pretty well stuck on CXLSH. As ever, things can change! Living in the middle of the UK we don't get freezing weather too much so hovering over leather choice.... Current jackets are :- Sheepskin flying jacket for when...

    Aero Mk 2. Sheene.

This has just arrived. Tobacco Badalassi Sheene. Fresh out of the box so it needs to settle a bit but impressed with it. Not the best photographer so pics are what they are. 2 pocket only and an August collar. Oh....and I squeak like a new leather sofa :D

    Aero Bike jacket.

As discussed elsewhere, when I go to Aero to collect my jackets I'll be getting sorted with ordering a cross zip biker jacket. Not a huge fan of bright things so likely to go with the nickel colour on zips and studs, just totally undecided on leather. I'll have a Schott cow hide A2, a Sheene...

    On the slippery slope here!

Not overly surprised it's happening so not complaining! Only started off looking at a Hudson from Aero....ended up binning that idea and ended up getting a Sheene and a Windward that should be collected next month. That then grew to having a pair of Border Patrol Shearling boots put to one...

My day out at Aero Leather.

At last, the day of my visit to Aero arrived! The drive was in the region of 6.5 hrs so travelled up to just North of Newcastle last night (for the benefit of UK residents), stayed overnight and arrived at Aero at 0930 this morning. What a place! The welcome was great and the way they look...
