Vintage blazer mystery
The long string of numbers starting with a 3 could very well be a military stock number, but the jacket doesn't look at all like a military uniform. 2 thoughts come to my mind; conversion from tunic to blazer, or perhaps officer's mess dress? Just a thought.- Gin&Tonics

I very strongly favour the downbrim myself, but the brim stance is very much a personal choice. It goes a long way toward projecting a certain persona or image. For what it's worth, you look excellent with that downbrim going on. Very dapper.- Gin&Tonics

Me not showing enough linen lol It's actually that the sleeves on this shirt are too short rather than the jacket sleeves being too long. One can't win em all I guess. I rather like this old shirt; hopefully I can find one in identical pattern cloth someday with proper length sleeves!- Gin&Tonics

I respectfully disagree. I think a collar bar might be too much considering he already has a tie bar and the metal of his braces clips. I think it's just right!
