^^^^what he said. I have a Half Belt Deluxe Horsehide Tumbled CXFQHH Cordovan jacket. since 2022. The leather is 1.7 mm thick and stiff. Even after all this time is not broken in 100%. But it started to mold to my frame. I even drive/ride in the jacket, still stiff. This will outlast me.

I assume you can't determine the age until you receive the jacket? Or is some clue in the labels? I am negotiating with a Japanese seller. It is a brown jacket but the color is lighter than on some other jackets I have seen.
I was after a pair for some time. I managed to get two. One in size 7 and one in size 8. Size 7 is a John White, size 8 is a Crockett & Jones. Both made in 1945 and in fantastic condition. C&J is going back to the factory for a full re build.
Size 7 will be for sell soon.
According to Eastman records the jacket was made in 1989 to a gent called R Jackson in Sunderland and is horse hide.
The hand wormer pocket and inner pocket was added by the original owner at a later date. Amazing that they have a data base going back to the '80s
Probably posted in the wrong section so maybe the Moderator can move it over here?

On a recent trip to the ME I purchased this MA-1 dated 1984 MIL-J-72299A DTD, made by Concord Introd Inc . Supplied to the IAF, size is XL but fits my 42"chest perfectly. The outer shell nylon is thick, is not exactly a cold weather jacket but is good for about +5C. I also have a similar model...
