Hi,
I've been looking for a Hooch Hauler for a while.
I found the auction before looking here, but I just bought your jacket. I can't wait to try it on.
Thanks.
Lost some weight and the size 40 Aero Highwayman is feeling big with the side straps cinched all the way down. It’s perfectly broken in, so it feels sooo good.
Here’s my 40:
Got a 36 recently with a busted zipper that’s on its way to TB to get fixed.
Here’s the 36 just begging to be...
Recently received this 641hh 38 that feels fully broken in. For whatever reason, I feel that a 36 would fit better.
Wanting to trade the size 38 for a 36. I know that it’s a long shot, but putting it out there, as I don’t think I can get back what I paid for it (plus shipping from Japan)...
Just got a used Fox Creek Leather jacket in 38, which looks like the smallest size they sell.
I have another FCL jacket and the fit is similar (huge). I put Forcefield CE Level 2 armor on the back, shoulder and elbows.
Here it is on me with armor and no liner.
I received the supposed “New with tags” Vanson Oxford 38 today.
Unfortunately, it ended up being a used jacket with a bad sleeve zipper and more wear on the sleeve ends than even my really beat up 36 Model B shown in a few posts up.
I’m in communication with the seller, but in the meantime...
Just picked up a Vanson Model B in 36. Measurements are: shoulder 16.5”, p2p 19.5”, sleeve 25”, length 23.75”. I wear a 38 Comet that fits snug like this 36 Model B.
I have a Oxford coming from Japan in 38 that was advertised with 36 measurements: shoulder 16.5”, p2p 19.9”, sleeve 24.4”...
How does the Schott 641HH look (fit-wise) compared to my Vanson Comet? I thought the 641HH would be a tighter fit. Also, what's the deal with the horsehide being so soft/supple? I thought it would feel a little tougher... Did I mistakenly buy a fashion leather jacket due to lack of...
Received a Schott 641HH in 38 and I’m wondering about the fit. From what I’ve read, it should be a very slim fit.
I had an unlined horsehide 641 in the past but I didn’t like the fit. Seemed made for a much taller person than I.
Pardon my crappy pics, but how does it look compared to my...
Just found this thread. Didn't realize so many others shared the same interests.
Here is a list of my machines: Singer 185k, Singer 201, Singer 66, and a Singer 29-4
Based on the writing on the manual, the Singer 201 presumably belonged to a Japanese American in 1941 (during the internment...
That is an excellent idea. The few I have come from friends / family who have been to Hawaii. Sadly, I've never been there, but I will start a collection for casual Fridays.
Here in sunny southern California, it gets cold enough only in the winters and late fall for a jacket. Having said that, I recently discovered this place and have 3 jackets to show for it. It's starting to warm up and in fact, I went out the door this morning sans jacket.
Moto styled...
Yeah, it's funny how that goes... if it's perfect, I wouldn't even have to ask. It's just a nice jacket and the horse hide is soooo soft, buttery and smooth. Reminds me of a well broken in baseball glove. Thanks for the honesty.
I appreciate all the advice...
Unfortunately, this jacket comes in off the rack sizes (S, M, L). I'm wearing the "Small". Like I say, the fit of it leads me to believe it was cut for someone taller. I'm about 5'6" - 5'7", and I can feel the jacket lift up when I lift my arms too.
The last...
Got me a Schott Perfecto Cafe Heritage in Horsehide. The jacket comes "washed" from Schott to give it the broken in look. I had a lot of high hopes for this jacket, but I think I'm too short for the 23.5 / 25.5 inch length (fr/bk). In addition, when zipped up, the back of the jacket near my...
