Like I said before, if you order the "Tall" from the Gap they are plenty long in the body. The normal shirts are far too short to tuck in if you are at all tall (I'm 6' 4"). They gussets hang out of the side of your trousers!
How could big armholes lead to restricted movement? Sounds odd. I had luck with the Large Tall Gap shirts...I would have to agree that they are pretty short in the standard model.
The S&P pepper ones are a thinner moleskin material than the brown ones. The brown ones have sort of a horizontal grain that's pretty unique. I've purchased them over a period over about 12 months, so not that painful at once.
