I'm so glad you posted this because I've been dying to try it. I mix olive oil into everything but because I order my Nivea from Germany It's more expensive and hard to get so I was sort of apprehensive to try it. I will give it a go now, thank you for that.
I am also interested in this! My skin usually loves anything without silicone, and I absolutely LOVE the Watkins lemon cream lotion! It smells like lemon cookies:]
Mineral oil doesn't effect me at all. It's the silicone that gives me little bumps. At night when I take off my makeup I'll have little bumps all over my face mostly on my forehead and chin. Then, when I wake up in the morning they're all gone! I use MAC foundation currently and Nivea at night...
fortworthgal, is this how you are still taking care of your skin now? I want to find something that I can stick with without having to buy a zillion products just to add to the graveyard under my sink.
Based on what you have written in this thread I believe we have very similar skin types
I know that Dimethicone will cover the hair locking moisture in but I also know that it locks moisture out and that it's not water soluble. That's the only reason I'm having a hard time figuring out if it will do the same for my skin:(
Same here fortworthgal! I have to order it off of smallflower.com, now I am a little apprehensive to put it on my face though. Maybe I should do a patch test on my neck or something.
I've just purchased the boots Cleansing Milk! It's like a cold cream but a little more watery. The packaging is so darling but I've just realized they have Dimethicone in the ingredient list. I have cut out cones from my hair and was wondering if you Ladies knew of the effects of it on skin?
I have the face atelier in porcelain, It's still too dark for me. I did like it at first but sometimes it looks weird...I don't know if it has to do with the way I've put it on or something. But since I'll be picking up the manic panic stuff I'll try mixing it in my my face atelier and I'll...
heehee thank you :] I'm gonna go to the manic panic boutique tomorow so maybe I wont even need to stop by mac! I cant wait to try it thanks for the information :]
I've also heard Anna Sui makes very pale foundations.
I'm gonna be in Vegas in a few weeks and I believe there is a MAC pro store there, If it works out I'll post it here. I also work near a manic panic boutique so I'll go try that as well. Maybe I can do a comparison of the two and post it here :] Which one of the lot have you tried??
I know this is an old thread but I really want to try that dainty doll stuff, sounds amazing. But you say it's not a full coverage? I also want to try out the ben nye stuff.
I like very pale pale skin. NC 5- 15
I don't know why people say mineral oil is bad, I never get bad reactions from it. My grandmother always used Nivea and her skin looked amazing. That's why I want to get a hold of some for myself. Also, I love the smell.
Have you tried ultrabland? It isn't as different for me than the ponds with the green cap. I want to know more about the different formulations on the ponds cream. I've also just ordered German Nivea and I'm gonna give that a try as a cold cream. Hopefully it works!
