Thanks Rabbit, That would mean paying a high price for a Whippet on ebay with the Whippet liner only would be a very risky buy unless you knew the seller.

Whippet question Did an authenic Stetson Whippet have the name Whippet on the sweatband, such as the Open Road, or just on the liner?

How has your Homburg been received?

Jared, It does work for you....I think what makes the causal Homberg look work for you is your casual manner is which you're wearing it. You're wearing the hat instead of the hat wearing you. I've seen your photos with some wide brims and panamas or straws with the brim up so you're...

How has your Homburg been received?

Don't know if I could pull off a Homberg or not. Have had bad luck attempting to own one. I have purchased 3 on ebay and all 3 have either had issues that were not disclosed on ebay auction or the size was incorrectly stated. I have one now that fits both problems.....undisclosed issues...

Stetson sweatband question. What years was this black sweatband with silver printing and this Stetson logo used? I feel sure it is a 60's or newer. But, is it early or late 60's or maybe late 50's or 70's. What would be the quality of the 4x of a hat with this sweatband? thanks...

Dating Vintage Stetsons by Liner: A Field Guide

Hello Alan, No, I don't have the hat in hand, just the photos. The pic in the center of the logo looks like a Stetson logo, although it's not very clear. I read somewhere that Stetson's were made at one time in Canada. Were they made there in the 60's? But, if it was made in Canada, why...

Dating Vintage Stetsons by Liner: A Field Guide

Hi Guys, Haven't been on the Lounge in a while but I think this is the right place to ask about Stetson liner and sweatband information. I looked through various Stetson threads and didn't see or missed this liner type. Any information about this liner and sweat in the photos. I can't...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

as I said in an earlier post.....If there is a problem with my comment or someone doesn't like my comment.....why not PM me and say what it is they don't like? My statement about buying another gun and more ammo and my looking at plans to move out of the USA stems directly from my personal...

Who the H__L said anything about the supreme court? I can't help what other people decide to read into other's comments and then decide to make themselves mad over what they think they read.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Political ?? Someone (with a hat) needs to explain to me what was "political" about a brief statement of my plans....... A simple (hat) PM would have been appreciated if someone had a question or concern about one sentence in my comment...... Sounds as if someone (with a hat) is jumping...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Sorry for posting a comment with a sentence that did not include the word or words; hat or hats. I didn't realise that any sentence within a comment that didn't inclued the words, hat or hats in some form or another would be deleted. I will write hat or hats in every sentence I post in...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

I made a deal Tuesday to buy a Mallory that was up for bid a couple of weeks ago on ebay. I was the high bidder but the reserve wasn't met so I didn't get it. I think it's going to be a really nice hat. :whoo: It will probably be my last hat purchase for a while. :( (Deleted, nothing...

My Grave Consequence of Buying a Scala Fedora

Exactly.....Whether a product in made in Japan, China, Canada, Texas, the USA, an independent hatter or any other place doesn't define the quality of the product. The company that makes the product defines the quality they want their product to be. Starting with slightly inferior products...
