Thanks Alan, interesting. I thought the hat band and bow seemed to be "different". I don't recall seeing a mid ribbon long bow with the frayed end before. Maybe because these older hats are out of my hat budget I just haven't seen enough of them. Do you think the ribbon is original to the hat. -

As for me; searching ebay for hats has lost a lot of enjoyment and anticipation because of the number of over priced hats, lack of selection in my size (mostly stingy brims) and receiving far to many hats that don't fit. It's more like an old habit now. shakeshead
