Ah well... there is at least The Real McCoy in Exeter, which isn't the best vintage shop in the world these days but it isn't bad and is run/managed by a genuine vintage enthusiast. Exeter is just pretty 'townie' and a bit rough. It's my hometown so I shan't slag it off too much... but it is...
Haha! Maybe Truro is just a bit more polite than Exeter then!
I'm with you on the charity shops though - always brilliant and really cheap. And the vintage fair in Exeter was the cheapest I've ever been to - amazing.
My favourite liquid liner is actually just the Rimmel one - supercheap, good solid colour, non-flaking (as far as is possible - after 3am it may start to go!) and a lovely fine brush. About £3 - bargain.
Me too Dolly - I have three times as much hair as most people and I just can't do it - it's exhausting! And I get all fingers and thumbs and 'which-way-is-clockwise' around the back. I'll stick with my heated rollers I reckon.
But Zaika - that is just perfection! Amazing.
You're telling me you live in Cornwall and you don't get heckled Kishtu?! I moved to London from Devon about 4 years ago and used to get heckled constantly, even though I was a lot more 'subtle' back then. There was a lot of staring too... most of it not nice.
Smuterella, that sounds just like my handbag, although mine usually has a lot of escaped rizla papers and a couple of exploded tampons in there too. Oh and hairballs from my brush :)
My worst handbag disaster was a carton of double cream which split and leaked. Oh and a lipstick that got loose...
I was very lucky to see them a couple of times the first time around and they weren't quite as loud this time (or maybe my 35 year old ears are just tougher!). They handed out free earplugs and I wore them gladly like the sensible grown-up I now am :)
Awesome show... wish I could have gone to...
I've always found that Directions leaks onto my clothes! Is that because my hair isn't pre-lightened maybe? It's a shame because my colour looks great if I put a pink dye over the top of my regular dye.
If any US ladies would like me to post them some Live XXL drop me a PM.
Hell's bells Smuterella - you look incredible! I'm so going to get Nina to chop my hair off!
For your amusement this was my hair 'au naturel' on sunday morning. Needs a trim n'est pas?!
HURRAH dolly! Well done. We'll make July 11th an extra celebration. So do tell - what's the job?
Adele - gorgeous dress (would love to see more pics of it) and I love the shiny red shoes with it myself.
