We all have memory. We have a built in loop of videotape footage we can replay anytime we want to. People sometimes remember things that they DON'T remember and quickly dismiss them as mind shrapnel from unknown directions. These are perhaps the most important and persistant of memories...
That sounds cool. I'll have to start compiling that info - at least enough for a basis and then continue to add info as I go along. Thanks!

Wonderful clock and you did a great job cleaning it up!!! Being Philly born and raised...I've been in the Melrose countless times as well. But I wasn't born until '79 so your clock was likely taken down already. Either way, great piece of history you have there. Congrats! :)

This is original sheet music from 1890 featuring John Hyams (Leila's father) when he was with Gorman's Minstrels...before his Broadway days. In 1890 he would've been 21 years old. I just won it from Ebay :)
I did like it. Very interesting info about Tod's family in there too....particularly his uncle Pete Browning. I've interviewed the author, David J. Skal, and have also spoken to him a few additional times.
