I don't dare to have a closer look, otherwise I'll fall in love ;) I did order fabric from overseas before, but I could only afford it because I made a collective order with somebody else. It's pretty expensive to ship anything...- wahine

yum, sounds wonderful! What I remember best is pumpkin pie and pecan pie - I never had neither one before. And squash! We don't have it here as well. Those might not be typically for Florida, but that's what gave me some of the most intense (positive) memories, speaking of food. Makes me think...- wahine

Sounds wonderful (although I must admit I'm not sure what a key lime is - a certain kind of lemon?)! I even once lived in Florida for a short period of time, but that was before I was interested in sewing. Otherwise I'd have built quite a fabric stash! :D- wahine

Copy a pattern or use an original?
Since I only worked with the "self-made" Golden Rule patterns I never had to make the choice to cut or not to cut. I guess if I had to make it, I'd try to trace the patterns. I like to keep the old things as intact as possible. I keep saying "these things survived the last decades, I don't want...- wahine
