These are traditional Norwegian winter boots called labber. The commercial name is "Nesnalobben".
The pair I am wearing was my great grandmother's and then my grandmothers. They have been mine for about 6 years now.
I have several pairs as they keep me warm and go with my vintage...
What I've been wearing lately :o
My Christmas dress ..1930s, bakelite buttons..
1930s taffeta gown.
1930s day dress with bakelite buttons.
Opera Coat outside the cinema in Tromsø - Christmas Eve
Thank you, Chrome :D
This is one of those dresses that I can't use very often because it's got fur details. I'm always afraid I'll end up covered in paint or something.
I don't mind a discussion, as I am pro-recycle - anti-fur farming, unfortunately there seem to be more extreme individuals...
Deep red 1930s wool dress with fur details. Just love this dress, it's very XMAS/wintery and warm. From ETSY.
The yellow reel is a 16mm Al St. John comedy short .
The photos are for a blog entry of mine where I shed some light on a rather important matter regarding film...

Obviously it is a vintage blog but my main message is a rather important one - I am a film historian and have a project where I am restoring both the...

Sonja is one of my favorites to watch in the winter. Really puts me in the mood for the fashion of the season.
1930s dresses are indeed nicely tailored, they all look dreamy on and are comfy too. It is impossible to look bad in a 30s dress. 1932 through 35, maybe 36, are all to die for <3

Just finished yet another improvised crochet hat. My goal is to have one in every color possible :biggrin2:
Posted more images of the hat - finished and in the making - on my blog : http://stumfilm.blogg.no/

This could be done with any outfit as long as there's enough fabric/trim on the inside to take some off without ruining the outfit...
Thank you, all of you <3 I love my 30s coats, it makes me happy just to wear them.
The mittens are very traditional here in Norway. This pair I bought (yes..oh shame..I do knit/crochet actually) at the local crafts shop in the little town I live in at the moment. This place have one grocery...
