That's very true MissHuff, :eusa_clap I suppose us "little people" have to make up for the fact that she doesn't need to do much other than look pretty, while WE have to do all of the above and cook, clean, work, raise families etc.lol
But I drooled enviously over her wedding photos, and...
Whisk an egg white and smooth it on your face and neck for 10 minutes, it gives a bit of 'firming' action, and it feels nice. Plain yogurt is a nice exfoliating treatment too.
I figure try the homemades before getting drastic, if you are consistent and start early you shouldn't ever need the...
I heard she swims in her all thogether not all together in her pool,
so I guess that's how she can say she's always vintagelol
But society would frown on that if I did, seeing as I don't own a poollol
As much as I hate to admit it, I'm at work and will be having a couple of those days. We're so swamped for Christmas that I'm doing 11 hour shifts, and have little time and even less energy to put into looking nice:(
I'm in denims, no make-up, and not a stitch of effort put into my hair:eek...
I just got a pair of mini Dachshund puppies, they're 8 weeks today, I refer to them affectionately as "my boys" which gets more than a few raised eyebrowslol till I explain of course.
I post pics as soon as I figure out how.
Any of you lovely ladies know if MBJ ships to Canada? and if so how much is it?
I sent a message, but I haven't gotten any replies[huh]
If y'all could help me out I'd love it:D
Wow..... 1700's a long way back, good going.
My uncle has been doing some of that, I should talk to him. My family is Irish and Ukrainian, Blacksmiths on the Kiev side, but I've also heard some pretty horrifying thing out of that side of my family.
And I have very few details from my Irish...
oooohh mints is a good idea! I ususally run out of gum mid week, and its not the best for your jaw musculature I hear.
Currently I have four different reds plus a balm, in my purse, and when I start wearing seams regularly, clear polish is getting added and an extra pairlol
Hey Ladies!
I figure since this is a hat thread I'd be reasonably on topic with this question.lol
Did ladies wear Fedoras in the 40's? I really love the looks of them, but I want to keep period correct.:)
The red Vickie is really nice too, too bad it's sold!
The vintage lady's must haves.
Hey Ladies!
I was going through the other night trying to organise my handbag for my sister's birthday outing tonight, and trying to decide what all I'd need for my pretty wrap shirt and pencil skirt ensemble, which got me wonderin' what do you lovely ladies...
Go boldly for it!!!!
I am aiming for all vintage all the time, but student budgets get in the way a lot, as well as forty pounds of books to rumple up pretty fabriclol
It is really easy to get them confused, I do it alllllll the time, my Spanish Oral exam this term, I started speaking in Frenchlol
Tottie, if you don't mind my two cents on the surname, I'd imagine Radcliff, or Wetherington. They just kinda stick out for me when I think young and well off...
(QUOTE ITG)Ella Noir...in Spanish wouldn't that be like saying "black she"? I'd ask my husband but he isn't home right now. (QUOTE ITG)
Noir is closer to French, Negra would be Spanish, and yeah that's exactly what it would translate aslol It's cute, but I like the sounds of Bella DeVille a...
Wow!
These girdles sound good, a few days ago I bought my very first true vintage, a lovely 1940's gray green skirt suit, the jacket is the most interesting thing, but I am sadly slightly too "voluptuous" for the skirt, but in a girdle.....:D
For me, Mata Hari, Queen Elizabeth I (I think that's the one I'm thinking of) and Cleopatra were the queens of "it" srtong and seductive on their own terms, my vintage heroines.... Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn.
Marilyn was just plain hot, and handled her life's trials so gracefully...
The mint Julep Scrub is very nice too, I scrub after I remove the cold cream, because I find it softens the dead cells, making them exfoliate more easily.
My Grandma's Shortbread cookies, she played with her recipes and came up with ours, and my mama's Toffee Macaroons. and there goes the attempt at losing any weight this year!!!lol
Anything flat that can be dipped, decorated, and stacked in a pretty mug with tea makes a great Christmas gift too!
