What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

...I know it’s sort of an apples-to-oranges comparison, but can anyone offer me any additional insight/opinions into this hat versus an Akubra Campdraft in Bluegrass Green? The Chatham felt was soft and moldable (at least compared to my Silverbelly Dune) which I liked, but I know many folks... -

I love the Fed IV!!
...I’m also at the point with my vintage collection where I am only after specific felts (unless it’s a ridiculously good deal). I don’t go in for imperial Akubra felt anymore, but the heritage Fed IV and Campdraft and the superfine quality safari hats will always have their place in my collection.- The Lost Cowboy

Do you know what size this Resistol is? The size makes a huge difference in the price and anyone considering buying it will need to know the size. Resistols of this era should have the size stamped on the reverse side of the leather sweatband, and the stamp is usually in red ink. There may also...- deadlyhandsome

...of the two crests on the inside of the hat. The inside of the rim does have a serial number (C 52456). It does look exactly like an Akubra Campdraft but, as I said, they say it is not one of theirs. The only other item pertinent to this mystery are the stamps shown in the picture. One stamp... -

...the akubra squatter aswel, I'd actually looked at that too in the dark grey! I saw someone who bashed a teardrop crown into it on YouTube and it looked really nice. If its a cross between the fed iv and campdraft then it could be a really nice one for me to check out for my growing collection:)- Lordteabelly

We stay at either the BellTown Inn or The Pineapple on 5th. Both smaller boutique properties. Good area about a 20 minute walk to downtown or Pike Market. For a nice breakfast or light lunch our favourite is Le Pichette on First & Virginia. It is a french inspired bistro.- belfastboy

...Yes her shop seems small but she seems really nice in her videos, and responds to all the comments I've left. She did tell me she has akubra camldrafts in fawn in stock and had some stetson stratoliners and hemp stratoliners in stock so I'd be interested in checking those out, esp the campdraft.- Lordteabelly
