Hi Guys,
Looking to buy an Akubra Bushman/campdraft in the moonstone grey in size 57 if possible. If anyone has one available give me a shout :)
thanks
We had a break in the heat today enough to wear the Campdraft out for Sunday hockey. It’ll probably be an oven tomorrow but today was a nice change of pace.
Have a great start to your week friends.

They are two very different hats. Do you want a thin ribbon Open Road style hat or a more city-like fedora? The Chatham was available in different quality levels, so I’m going to just assume you’re thinking about the Royal DeLuxe version.
Do you want an open crown hat?
Do you want a bound...
...I know it’s sort of an apples-to-oranges comparison, but can anyone offer me any additional insight/opinions into this hat versus an Akubra Campdraft in Bluegrass Green? The Chatham felt was soft and moldable (at least compared to my Silverbelly Dune) which I liked, but I know many folks...
...I’m also at the point with my vintage collection where I am only after specific felts (unless it’s a ridiculously good deal). I don’t go in for imperial Akubra felt anymore, but the heritage Fed IV and Campdraft and the superfine quality safari hats will always have their place in my collection.
Do you know what size this Resistol is? The size makes a huge difference in the price and anyone considering buying it will need to know the size. Resistols of this era should have the size stamped on the reverse side of the leather sweatband, and the stamp is usually in red ink. There may also...
...of the two crests on the inside of the hat. The inside of the rim does have a serial number (C 52456). It does look exactly like an Akubra Campdraft but, as I said, they say it is not one of theirs. The only other item pertinent to this mystery are the stamps shown in the picture. One stamp...
...the akubra squatter aswel, I'd actually looked at that too in the dark grey! I saw someone who bashed a teardrop crown into it on YouTube and it looked really nice. If its a cross between the fed iv and campdraft then it could be a really nice one for me to check out for my growing collection:)

I don't have an RM but my brown Campdraft Deluxe is one of my favorite hats. I also love my Fed IV Heritage. But the Fed IV is specially meant to mimic the Indiana Jones hat, so if you want to avoid that association then...
We stay at either the BellTown Inn or The Pineapple on 5th. Both smaller boutique properties. Good area about a 20 minute walk to downtown or Pike Market. For a nice breakfast or light lunch our favourite is Le Pichette on First & Virginia. It is a french inspired bistro.
...Yes her shop seems small but she seems really nice in her videos, and responds to all the comments I've left. She did tell me she has akubra camldrafts in fawn in stock and had some stetson stratoliners and hemp stratoliners in stock so I'd be interested in checking those out, esp the campdraft.
...is back in stock in my size too. However I've been looking at and reading reviews about how nice the Akubra RM Williams hat is. I love the campdraft and ive read that the RM hat is very much like or similiar to a brown campdraft, is this correct?
On the website it looks very high in the...
...one day have a few nice hats I can alternate like alot of you guys.
I will post my small collection soon but I'm happy to have an akubra campdraft in bluegrass green, the open road Royal Deluxe and a whippet by stetson, a couple of bailey hats, a Failsworth panama and most recently a hornskov...
Most straw, including Panama (toquilla straw), Milan (wheat, hemp etc.), and other commonly available “dress hat” “straw” materials really need to have a positive and negative block to be shaped. I’ve never seen any of these materials look good when shaped by hand…and they are rarely seen as...
...enjoy shaping my own crowns, so always try to buy hats with open crowns. When it comes to felt, these are easy to come by, I love my Akubra Campdrafts. But I really struggle to find straw open crowns (other than Western hats). Does anybody know of a company that sells off-the-rack open crown...
