Thanks for the replies guys. @Salmosalar do you get much use out of the yellow one? I've always thought it looked great, but can never figure out if it would be too OTT!
There seems to be an anti-horse sentiment generally, but is it really that bad? Or is it that it just takes a long time to...
I seem to have caught the Lewis Leathers bug and am considering ordering a jacket in sheep leather green. For a moment I thought about going completely outlandish and getting a yellow horse jacket with black stripes, which personally I think would look great, but I think even I might struggle...
For some reason LL often push the horse leather. They have quite a lot of photos on their social media, but I think the website could be brought up to date with some professionally shot imagery. They often use the vintage brochures for pictures as well, with some hilarious looking 1970s models...
The photos are literally out of the box. Leather jackets need some break in and the sleeves pull up slightly, which they have now done. So now the sleeves are bang on where my wrist bends.
No, it's the standard sheep skin. I was originally going to have horse, but I read the threads here and the sheep skin seemed to be the way to go. I read on some other places that it was 'puffy', but I haven't found that in the slightest. It's just as you'd expect a biker jacket style leather to...
So... the jeans need changing, then? :)
Will take a look for alternatives. I'm a bit reluctant to go too far down the straight route. I do have slim fit pairs as well (as opposed to the skinny ones in the photos).
@newtojackets great that you liked the jacket that much! To make sure I got the...
Thanks guys. Taken on the jeans. I do also have slim fit jeans (I really don't like regular or boot cut any more). The ones in the photo are skinny fit, and I'm probably guilty of wearing them for comfort (they are seriously comfortable!)
Going on from my previous thread, the Lewis Leather 402 has finally arrived! Quality of the jacket appears to be superb, and it's a lot more 'showy' a jacket than I'm used to. But it's certainly the best made leather jacket I've owned so far. However, as anyone who caught my previous thread...
Thanks for the replies guys. One thing I should have clarified was that LL took into account the back drop, so the front will be 22.5" while the back will be longer. Problem I have at the moment is that the jacket is already ordered (back in Sept) so too late to change it.
Yeah, that was a...
Currently waiting for my Lewis Leathers 402 to arrive (ordered at the beginning of Sept and still waiting!) Getting nervous about the length, even though I went through the measurements extensively with them, speaking on the phone, along with sending photos to them of a jacket I already have...
