    Date this Tuxedo?

Another dinner jacket date help... Thought I might tack on another inquiry. I look at this jacket and go completely blank. The lapels, and the single button are throwing me. It feels like 40's wool, if that makes any sense. If it was redesigned, they did an amazing job of it. Any help...

FABULOUS! I am a sucker for any sad bit of cloth! Especially colourful ones. I have a 30's 40's crazy quilt child's robe. They are excellent for "study". That Hawaiian print is probably 40's, or early 50's. The red and blue fish bit is neat too! Sandi

Can you help me date this item??

Hi! It's probably 60's. To get rid of the smell, I highly recommend hanging it outside a while. Keep the flap open. Cheers, Sandi

    Why the South?

Atticus: I hope I wasn't rude to him! This was quite a few years ago, I was about 25. My dad worked at the Weyerhauser pulp mill. (Smart enough to not get too high in the ranks, and always able to spend a couple of months traveling every year!) FooFooGal: I was looking my best at the time...

    Why the South?

This may be :offtopic: I was born in North Carolina, and raised in Oregon. On one of my trips to visit dad, in my "hometown" of New Bern, I always felt that his peers/coworkers never regarded me as a person. He would mention our plans of a motorcyle trip across country, and they...

    What Are You Reading

Finally! Picked up "Uncle Mame", by Eric Meyers. I've been eyeing it for some time. It's about Edward Everett Tanner III. A.K.A, Patrick Dennis, of "Auntie Mame" fame. Fabulous man. I adore his work, have a few of his books. I will be searching for the remainder I do not have!

Lace it up - The true Corset thread

There is also Gallery Serpentine http://www.galleryserpentine.com.au/ and Starkers http://www.starkers.com/ There was a woman who did corded ones, I cannot find her site again. I think she was in France. Any good corset will be costly, and worth it. :) Sandi

New Ladies and Gents Step Forward

Pardon... Please pardon my faux-pas, of not introducing myself here! My name is Sandi, my partner and I collect many useless coins and bills from 1968 and beyond, plus some newer ones. We run an antique mall space in Portland. (He mostly straightens for me! Shhh....!) I am the computer...
