Why a chain stitch as opposed to a lockstitch?
Was wondering if someone could help me understand why I’ve only seen reeded sweatbands sewn in using a chain stitch.
Anyone here using a machine use a lockstitch?

Thanks for the info Belfastboy - that helps. I will likely start with a block that has no reinforcement and no recess, and see how I like it.
