Seems a little small for a tagged 44? 22" p2p would be skin tight for a 44" chest measurement and the shoulders seem narrow too at 18" for that size. I suppose they could be inaccurate measurements or did these tend to run that way with the measurements at the time?
I recently sold a high end putter and a watch to balance out the costs of a leather jacket. Sold the motorcycle after kid #2 was born. I need to take up a very inexpensive hobby next.
I wish this would have been a pinned thread when I stumbled upon this site a few months ago. I lost weight and needed to replace a cafe racer that's nothing special on it's own but I've had it for about 20 years. Seemed reasonable to splurge a little on something I'd hope to be with me for the...
Very cool jacket. If I thought I could pull it off style-wise, this looks like it would fit and I would go for it. I'm not there yet for jackets like this or cross zips. Good luck!
I'm one of those. I snuck in front of you at 1503 which will be a bespoke Route 66 that I sent an email about to Greg with a "wishlist" of ideas for features/changes.
Is Schott Bros related to Schott of today? Is this something different completely? Tagged size 44, might fit a little different. Shoulder measurement is a little narrow but P2P a little bigger...
I tried contacting this seller before because they are listed as local to me, to see if I could look at a jacket they were selling in person. They never responded.

I imagine the stitching on the chest pocket might start a discussion on its own but at the price is not nearly as high as a new one.

looks cool and it might even fit but I have no idea if it’s a deal.
I have a waxed canvas jacket and I love it. I can't speak for Freenote but mine was only slightly stiff at first, really no more than anything that's brand new, and has really broken in nicely. Maintenance is easy and it's extremely durable. It is waxed, so of course there will be a little waxy...
I agree that the seller likely made it up. But, are there any known makers who use odd number sizes? I come across odd number size suit jackets occasionally. Given how many folks here are looking for specific fits, maybe there are some out there? Or it falls to the custom shops?
This one looked interesting to me mostly because it’s listed as a size 37. No tags to verify that but odd numbered sizes in many clothing types are uncommon but I’d probably fit best into a true 45. Anyone know of manufacturers which regularly produced odd sizes...
I'm not sure exactly what this is (no clear tags) and I'm generally not much of a fan of patches (also reads like someone just sewed it on later) but overall it looks like it has good stories. If the age is correct, it's pushing 60 years old or more...
Came across this locally listed on Craigslist. Irvin Foster HH Long Police Jacket.

I've been reading this thread like watching a new series on Netflix. I binged all 417 pages in the last couple of days and created a FDL account. The amount of knowledge and information shared here and on the rest of the forum is tremendous and so helpful for someone who has worn leather jackets...
